I have been seeing so many ads and hearing so many radio ads with mortgage brokers telling you to take a vacation with the equity in your home. This is awful advice and I hope you stay away from lenders advertising this way. Another one that I think is a bad idea is to refinance your cars and credit cards into your home loan. I understand that it will reduce the interest rate BUT you will now be paying on it for 30 years!
If it sounds to good to be true, than it probably is!
If you are looking to buy a new home or refinance your existing home please get a referral to a reputable mortgage broker. There are a lot of fly by night companies out there that do not have your best interest in mind. You can always contact me for a number of a good broker or two.
